Intelligent city, resilience, security, privacy
Pervasive digital networks are entering physical space, giving rise to an ‘internet of everything‘ – the networked lifeblood of the intelligent city. Cities are becoming like cyber-physical systems, and the amount of data generated by the urban environment, the built space, and, above all, social interactions that happen in cities, can inform public policies and urban design in innovative ways.
However, issues about data security and privacy are a major concern in smart cities projects. We proposed to investigate issues of resilience, security and privacy in the intelligent city. Also, data integration and fusion is increasingly important: hence we propose to combine raw data, linked open data, data ontology and semantic data streams. The goal is to develop new architectures for intelligent cities imbued with data security and privacy.
